Every Bloom & Banner piece is made by hand, one ribbon at a time.

Homecoming mums are one of Texas’s sweetest traditions: a name, a number, a sport, a senior year, all in your school’s colors. We started Bloom & Banner to make them the way they deserve to be made, by hand, with real care, and with room for every student’s personality.

Whether it’s her mum, his garter, or a graduation lei, every piece is designed with you and built at our worktable in San Antonio. And when homecoming season winds down, we make custom wreaths for front doors, holidays, game days, and every season in between, each one designed and priced personally with you.

Meet the maker

Meet Charlotte, Our Mum Maker

Charlotte was born in Houston and raised in New Mexico, and her creative style has been shaped by her Southwestern roots, her travels around the world during her time in the U.S. Air Force, and her lifelong love of art and creating.

After leaving the Air Force, Charlotte traded her military uniform for paintbrushes and has spent the past 10 years painting, creating, and exploring all kinds of artistic projects. Through her husband’s military service, their family eventually made their way back to Texas and found home.

And then came Texas homecoming mums.

The ribbons, braids, flowers, sparkle, tradition, and endless possibilities for creativity were right up her alley! At Bloom & Banner, Charlotte loves blending beloved Texas mum traditions with fresh artistic details and unexpected touches.

From classic and elegant to bold and wonderfully extra, each mum is designed to reflect the personality of the student wearing it, and to become a keepsake they’ll treasure long after homecoming is over.
